This fall, you can enjoy Octoberfest sans the Oom-pah music. Boston Beer Company has announced that this year, they’re hosting their annual Samuel Adams Octoberfest inside the Boston Calling music festival. From September 5 through 7, Boston Calling ticket holders over 21 years of age can listen to bands like The National, Lorde, and Nas, while hoisting a stein of Sam Adams Octoberfest.

Like previous installments, held inside the Park Plaza Castle, Sam Adams will serve its seasonal marzen-style beer alongside traditional German fare such as warm pretzels and grilled sausages. Fans are encouraged to dress in German lederhosen and dirndls, participate in the annual stein hoisting competition, play lawn games, and take pictures inside the Samuel Adams Octoberfest photo booth.

For Sam fans who don’t want to attend Boston Calling or can’t find a ticket, no need to worry. In conjunction with their year-long 30th anniversary celebration, the brewery is planning on hosting a separate Octoberfest event at their brewery space in Jamaica Plain. No date has yet been set for Samuel Octoberfest part two.

Boston Calling takes place at City Hall Plaza, September 5-7, bostoncalling.com.
