Seattle’s Renee Erickson Cooking Up a Special Menu at Row 34

For one night only, the James Beard-nominated chef will serve dishes from A Boat, a Whale & a Walrus.

On on October 23, Renee Erickson, one of the country’s most acclaimed chefs, will join chef Jeremy Sewall in the kitchen at Row 34. The James Beard-nominated chef, the owner of several Seattle restaurants (The Whale Wins, Boat Street Café, The Walrus and the Carpenter, and Barnacle), will be in Boston to help promote her bestselling new cookbook, A Boat, a Whale & a Walrus.

During Erickson’s one-night stage, she’ll be cooking dishes from her new book, shucking oysters, and mingling with guests. Erickson’s menu will be available a la carte in addition to Row 34’s full dinner menu.

Menu items for the evening will include:

  • Boquerones toasts with butter, fresh horseradish, ikura
  • Dungeness crab melt with tarragon mayonnaise, cheddar
  • Mussels in cider with dijon and creme fraiche
  • Pacific octopus salad with grilled beets, chermoula, shaved fennel

This is not a ticketed event, but reservations are highly encouraged.
