Centre Street Cafe Launches Lunch Service
The newly revamped Centre Street Café in Jamaica Plain opened its doors under new ownership on November 4. Now David Doyle, Maricely Perez-Alers, and Keith Harmon (the same team behind Tres Gatos tapas bar), and executive chef Brian Rae, are set to launch their weekday lunch service on November 28.
The new lunch menu will diverge slightly from Centre Street’s Italian and Mediterranean-focused dinner menu. In addition to pasta offerings like bucatini with tomato sauce and guanciale, there will be soups, salads, small “snack” plates, and an extensive sandwich section. Rae’s debut lunch menu includes options like a meatball sub on ciabatta, a fried egg sandwich with pancetta and peperonata, and an Italian reuben spinoff with mortadella in place of traditional pastrami.
Centre Street Café is located at 669A Centre Street in Jamaica Plain. Lunch service will run Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. They are open for dinner service daily from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Brunch service is slated to launch in the next few weeks and will run on both Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m
