One of Fenway’s most recognized pre-game hangout spots has unexpectedly closed. According to a report by Boston Restaurant Talk, Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar & Grill’s original location in the Fenway neighborhood was suddenly shuttered on Tuesday. A source at the restaurant’s Seaport District location told Boston Restaurant Talk and the Globe that the Boylston Street restaurant has “permanently” closed due to “bankruptcy” issues.

Jerry Remy’s, named after the Red Sox broadcasting legend (and former player), first opened in the Fenway in March of 2010.
