Puritan & Co.

Puritan & Company’s Will Gilson and Alex Saenz, along with a few of their chef friends, will offer guests a taste of the cuisine that inspired Cambridge’s most famous culinary figure, Julia Child. On March 25, Puritan & Co. will prepare a multi-course menu paired with wine, featuring some of Julia’s favorite dishes. Joining Gilson and Saenz will be Dante de Magistris (Restaurant dante and il Casale), Louis DiBiccari (Tavern Road), Brian Mercury (Harvest pastry chef), and Colin Lynch, formerly of Barbara Lynch Gruppo. Each chef will showcase their culinary talent by preparing one course that pays homage to Julia Child, with a unique family-style menu inspired by her classic recipes.

La Peetch at Savenor’s Market

Extraordinary Cambridge butcher, Savenor’s Market, has now added a one-of-a-kind dining element to its shop thanks to chef Sam Ferguson. Starting in February, Ferguson launched a new monthly dinner series inspired by “La Pitchoune,” Julia and Paul Child’s Provencal vacation cottage where the couple regularly entertained the likes of James Beard and M.F.K. Fisher. The series, called “La Peetch at Savenor’s,” is an intimate prix fixe dinner party for eight guests, centered around Savenor’s large butcher block and nearby stove. The four-course meal includes wine, hors d’oeuvres, a champagne toast, and a tasty gift to bring home at the end of the night.

$140 per person, March 30, 7-9 p.m., 92 Kirkland St., Cambridge; 617-576-6328 or eventbrite.com
