A new shop in Washington Square is bringing the all-in-one dinner-kit business model popularized by Blue Apron, Chefday! and HelloFresh, to Brookline. Scheduled to open in early June, Pantry specializes in locally sourced, pre-portioned recipe kits developed by “chief gastronomic office” Amanda Mayo, a graduate of Boston University’s Gastronomy Program. Billing itself as a “guided and curated shopping experience,” Pantry provides one-stop shopping for both novice and advanced chefs, including recipe cards (with full color photographs) and videos, kitchen essentials, sommelier paired wine and beer, and most importantly, pre-packaged spices and farm fresh produce without the waste.

Each recipe at Pantry can be prepared with basic kitchen tools in 20-45 minutes and can be purchased for both small and larger parties. Owner Dennis Lasko previously told the Brookline Tab that meals will range between $8-$14, and average $10 per person.

Pantry will offers up to 20 recipes at a time, some of which will come courtesy of guest chefs from some of the areas top restaurants. Examples of the types of dishes you’ll find at the Brookline shop include a Provençal tomato soup with white fish, kimchi meatloaf, shepherd’s pie with a quinoa crust, Moroccan chicken with cauliflower “couscous,” lamb and English pea orecchiette, and sweet potato flautas with a radish and jicama salad.

Pantry is scheduled to open in early June and is located at 1622 Beacon Street. Delivery will be available starting in mid-summer.
