After years of rumors, Luke’s Lobsters has announced that they’re officially opening a location in Boston. Scheduled to launch in mid-July at 75 Exeter Street, at the base of the Avalon Communities apartment tower in Back Bay, the New York-based chain will offer its signature, affordably priced lobster, shrimp, and crab rolls.

Luke’s Lobster, which offers seafood sourced from Maine, now has locations in Philadelphia, Chicago, D.C., and throughout New York. Owner Luke Holden, a former lobsterman and Maine native, first launched his brand when he moved to New York and was faced with a dearth of quality, low-priced seafood options. His menu at Luke’s Lobster is known for its simple, traceable ingredients sourced sustainably from his home state.
