Picnic Like a Pro
Once a month during summer, Stir will be offering a limited number of ready-to-go picnic baskets, each filled with food and beverages inspired by a specific theme: “Classic Victorian Picnic” (June), “A Southern Affair” (July), and “The Mediterranean Experience” (August). Each basket is $125 for 2 people and includes utensils, a New Hampshire-made birch picnic basket, house-made crackers, spreads, charcuterie from The Butcher Shop, salads, pickles, sandwiches, baked desserts, and non-alcoholic beverages such as elderflower lemonade. For the first picnic pop-up on June 20, Stir will be made utilizing produce from Stir’s next door neighbor, Siena Farms, in a transportable feast that includes two types of tea sandwiches, Pâte de Campagne, fruit salad with Merrick’s local honey, a sweet tart made by No. 9 Park’s Mary Edinger, and more.
June 20, 1-3 p.m., 102 Waltham St., Boston; [email protected] or 617-423-7847
