There are still tickets available for tonight’s 12-course feast to benefit Share Our Strength’s mission to end childhood hunger, No Kid Hungry. Six savory chefs, including Will Gilson (Puritan & Co.) and Matt Gaudet (West Bridge), are teaming up with pastry chefs like event founder Brian Mercury (Harvest), Heather Schmidt (Union Square Donuts), and others to create an epic spread. Libations will flow thanks to guest bartenders including Kevin Mabry (The Barmobile), Ezra Star (Drink), and La Brasa chefs Daniel Bojorquez and Frank McClelland. A reception kicks off the evening, and dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. Email the Himmel Hospitality Group if you’re interested in attending tonight.

$175 per person; 6:30-10 p.m., Thursday, October 29, the New England Center for Arts and Technology, 23 Bradson St., Boston; nokidhungry.org.

Dundee Pie Challenge VI

What would Select Oyster Bar chef Michael Serpa put inside a meat pie? How about junk food connoisseur and one of Boston’s burger bros, Sam Monsour? Taste for yourself at KO Catering & Pies’ Dundee Pie Challenge at the Harpoon Brewery and Beer Hall, coming up on Monday, November 23. The sixth annual “brawl at the hall” takes over the entire Seaport space, and is emceed by local restaurant consultant and Server not Servant blogger Patrick Maguire. Fourteen chefs, including reigning champion James DiSabatino (Roxy’s Grilled Cheese), Kate Holowchik (Yvonne’s), and others, are bringing their meat pie A-game—and their trash-talk— for a chance at glory, $2,000 to donate to their charity of choice, and a tacky championship belt. The $80 ticket is good for a four-person group, providing 12 mini pies and a Harpoon beverage for everyone.

$80 for up to four guests; 7:30-10:30 p.m., Harpoon Brewery, 306 Northern Ave., Boston; eventbrite.com.
