Hope you love build-your-own pies, Beacon Hill. All Star Pizza Bar is coming your way.

The Cambridge-based pizzeria recently signed a lease to open a second store near Massachusetts General Hospital, Eater Boston reported. Cofounders and brothers Johnny and Kosta Diamantopoulos hope to debut the new space, located at 204 Cambridge St., in the next few months.

The two have been tossing around the idea of expanding their pizza empire since early last year. Their primary storefront, All Star Sandwich Bar, has stood in Inman Square for more than eight years, but they felt the pizza spinoff lent itself more to growth. The duo still hope to expand the sandwich shop one day, and in his interview with Eater, Kosta Diamantopoulos hinted at a brand new, grill-based restaurant concept further down the pipeline. But for now, pizza has the spotlight.

If you’re enamored with the All Star Pizza Bar in Cambridge, you’re in luck. The Beacon Hill location will be almost identical, save some daily specials and new vegetarian additions. The new space is even similar in size. The building formerly housed a Griddler’s Burgers + Dogs, which shuttered in June, so the interior needs a fresh coat of paint before it’s ready to go.

Once open, the new counter-service restaurant is expected to seat around 20 people, and will serve lunch and dinner daily. Expect the same menu of whimsical specials, like the Sun-of-a-Choke, topped with mozzarella, roasted sun chokes, almond milk béchamel, and asparagus, and the Atomic Meatloaf Meltdown, with white sauce, meatloaf, red onion jam, and hot sauce. Or, be adventurous and build your own customizable pie with toppings like duck confit, jackfruit, scallions, and more.

You might have a chance to get that pie for free, too. All Star will celebrate the grand opening with two pizza parties, where guests can snag some slices on the house. While the first bash will be open to the public, Kosta Diamantopoulos says the second party will be exclusively for Mass General employees.

“Our family had a few very scary health issues that were resolved at MGH last year,” he says. “We were very fortunate to have such great care, both compassionate and professional, that we want to take a moment and express our gratitude.”

Diamantopoulos plans to detail progress on the Beacon Hill space online, so stay tuned for updates (and more on that free pizza).

“When you come into an All Star establishment, the first thing that hits you are the sights, the sounds, the smells, the colors, the staff that interacts with you,” he told Eater. “We try to create an atmosphere where people want to be here.”
