Over the past nine months, offices across the city have ordered lunch through an online service called Peach. No, not that tanking social network. This Peach is a text-based application that brings local fare from favorites like Whole Heart Provisions, Tavern Road, and Flour Bakery + Cafe, to around 150 Boston businesses in its network. The delivery service launched locally earlier this year.

Next week, Peach adds another notable restaurant to its roster. Myers + Chang will begin taking lunch orders exclusively through the service on Monday, November 7.

“The number one question that we get asked from our guests is, ‘When are you going to have delivery?’ So, we’re really excited to be able to offer this,” says Karen Akunowicz, Myers + Chang’s venerable executive chef.

With the exception of catering, this is the first time owners Joanne Chang and Christopher Myers have ever accommodated delivery from their South End restaurant. The partnership with Peach sparked when the founders of the Seattle-based company met Akunowicz about a year ago.

To start, Peach users can choose from three M+C classics: braised short rib banh mi, Thai ginger chicken salad, and Taiwanese-style dan dan noodles. Akunowicz chose these varied plates—one meat, one low-carb, and one vegetarian—because of their popularity during the restaurant’s lunch service.

Myers + Chang is considering branching out with other delivery options in the future, but Akunowicz has no details to dish out yet. For now, savor the reality that Peach is carting this food to an office complex near you.

“Bringing Peach to Boston has been an incredible experience. I cannot believe the growth we have experienced in under a year,” says restaurant partnerships manager Brooke Barsanti. “Our restaurant partnerships are a major contributor to that growth.”

Peach has more options on the way for the Boston area, too. Barsanti says the site is hoping to soon team up with Moody’s Delicatessen & Provisions in Waltham, and KO Pies in Eastie.
