Brunch is firing on all cylinders at the Harvard Square restaurant, where chef Michael Scelfo will have a number of specials alongside the restaurant’s standard brunch fare. Plates include soft scrambled eggs with whipped goat cheese, lobster Benedict with an English muffin and spicy hollandaise, and much more.

Area Four Cambridge
In addition to Sunday favorites like the hot mess, an oversized sticky bun, and breakfast pizza, Area Four is mixing up mimosas and Bloody Marys by the liter on New Year’s Day.

As it’s just softly opening on New Year’s Eve, this new Fort Point spot is anticipating a big night. Hence, this preview of Hangover Brunch, which is slated to debut regularly later in January. In addition to 100-plus beers, food options include the namesake Hangover, with with country sausage gravy, cheddar, fried egg, caramelized onions and breakfast potatoes; and more.

Just have a feeling that 2017 is going to be a good one? Try your luck during chef Tony Maws’s Lucky Brunch. The special service features a three-course prix-fixe, including a Fancy Pants New Year’s Deli Plate with crab salad, egg salad, trout pastrami, smoked bluefish rillettes, and an everything bagel, and a raffle where one #blessed table wins their meal on the house.
