Night Shift turns 5 in 2017, Wormtown is 7, Trillium is celebrating its 4th birthday, and Bantam Cider Company turns 5. Red Sauce Sundays returned to the Salty Pig last month, and elsewhere in the South End, La Motta’s Italian Specialities (the newest from the Aquitaine Group) is grating the cheese late into the night this Sunday. The late-night menu launched last week, and it’s available from 10 p.m.-close every Sunday-Thursday, with dishes like a basket of garlic parmesan potato chips, mortadella meatballs in pomodoro sauce, and a chicken parm grinder from chef de cuisine Justin Winters. Night a night owl? Check out the latest from Amelia’s Trattoria chef Delio Susi: Sulmona opened in Kendall Square this week, Eater Boston reports. There, you’ll find antipasti, pizza, Northern Italian street food, pasta, secondi, and salumi, per the Improper. And as always, the North End is there for you, along with Eataly Boston, James Beard Award-nominated SRV, and one of our top new destinations, Bar Mezzana. Rolled Ice Cream
There’s a new spot in town to be mesmerized by the Thai technique of rolled ice cream: Juicy Spot Cafe opened its third location—and its first outside New York City—in Chinatown on Thursday. All day on Friday and Saturday, all beautiful bowls are just $5. In addition to signature and create-your-own rolled ice cream cups, Juicy Spot has smoothies, juices, coffee, and tea, Eater Boston reports.

A venerable lineup of ladies gets behind the stick at Royale this weekend for the Northeastern stop on the Speed Rack tour. The timed cocktail competition will net one female bartender industry glory, and a trip to both the Jameson Distillery in Ireland and the Altos Distillery in Arandas, Mexico, with Speed Rack co-founders Lynnette Marrero and Ivy Mix. But moreover, the annual event is a fundraiser for breast cancer charities, having raised more than $500,000 since its inception. Among the 23 Northeast competitors are Tainah Soares of Roxy’s Central A4cade, Gwen Hagerty of Bar Mezzana, Meghan Powers of No. 9 Park, and more fierce competitors from New England. Tickets include drinks from the event’s sponsors.

Garrett Harker and Andrew Holden’s Watertown restaurant—with heated patio and seasonal bocce courts—is open for dinner on Sundays beginning March 5, and plans to bring lunch into the fold in the coming weeks—just in time for bocce season.

March is for munching (and maybe even Marathon training). Boston magazine’s third annual Starch Madness bracket launched this week, and Round 1 voting continues through March 7.
