Ever since Portland’s Eventide Oyster Co. announced plans for a Fenway spot, our taste buds have been jonesing for some seafood. Now another Maine-based restaurant known for its seafood will kickstart expansion down the block: Bennett’s Sandwich Shop will open a Fenway location this summer, Boston Restaurant Talk first reported.

The original location in Kennebunk, Maine, has been open seasonally since 1982, and quickly built up a cult following for its lobster rolls and hot sandwiches. The family debuted a second sandwich shop in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, in 2015. The Boston site will be the third, serving that same menu of famed Maine lobster rolls, steak and cheese sandwiches, cold subs, burgers, and eggy breakfast dishes. Plus, it’ll be a short walk from Fenway Park.

Bennett’s will move into the since-closed Swish Shabu space along Peterborough Street, Eater Boston notes, so it’ll be in good culinary company on the block with El Pelon Taqueria, Rod Dee 2, and more. And based on social media presence, the company seems eager to get the ball rolling. Keep your eyes peeled, and cravings high, for what is likely to be another go-to spot for New England lobster rolls.
