Are you always asking your friends for new podcast recommendations? Maybe it’s time to plan a staycation in Cambridge. The brand new Freepoint Hotel debuted a unique amenity when it opened last month—curated, on-demand playlists of a range of local and and national podcasts for guests to browse, produced in partnership with RadioPublic.

To promote this first-of-its-kind experience, the hotel is bringing podcasts out of the sound booth and into the bar with a new series called TalkingPoint. The moderated discussions and live podcast recordings start this Wednesday, May 10, with Restaurant Unstoppable.

Eric Cacciatore, a New Hampshire native and creator of the restaurant industry-focused show, will record a live episode of Restaurant Unstoppable with Matthew Gaudet of Freepoint Kitchen & Cocktails. The former Food & Wine Best New Chef was a rising star with his defunct debut, West Bridge, and he also operates the North Shore gem, SuperFine Food.

As a hospitality and marketing student, Cacciatore created Restaurant Unstoppable to connect with independent pros to learn more about restaurant operations, leadership, and related topics. After the taping of Gaudet’s episode, Cacciatore will chat with NESN Dining Playbook co-host Jenny Johnson about what he’s learned since launching his show.

In June, the Boston-based creators and critics of Worst Best Sellers are the featured guests. TalkingPoint brings the coming-of-age storytelling show Millennial into Cambridge in July. The events are free to attend, but reservations are recommended to ensure a seat in the hotel restaurant’s lounge area. Freepoint’s full dinner menu—and its whiskey-focused beverage program—are available for a la carte eats.

“Podcasts are a great way for curious people to experience the world,” Jake Shapiro, CEO of RadioPublic, said in a statement about the partnership with the Freepoint Hotel. For his part, Restaurant Unstoppable creator Cacciatore says he’s a podcast junkie himself, creating his own show to fill the void of a motivational, restaurant industry-focused feature he was searching for.

See Restaurant Unstoppable come to life this week, and learn what it takes to make it happen, with the unconventional programming at the new hotel.
