The sun is shining, and another sure sign of summer is nigh: The pop-up Allston beer garden by Aeronaut Brewing Company (and friends) officially returns to Zone 3 on Wednesday, June 14.

An initiative of Harvard University, Zone 3 aims to revitalize a, well, boring stretch of Western Ave., and the Aeronaut beer garden was a success last year among local residents, families, Harvard affiliates, and beyond. This season, the party happens on Friday nights, too.

“We are excited to present an expanded roster of diverse community partners including the PRX Podcast Garage… on special events and meet-ups in the same welcoming setting that transformed [a parking lot] into the magical place we so enjoyed last year,” the Zone 3 website says.

The kickoff event features live music by an Aeronaut favorite, the Boycott Brass Band, plus food from Compliments, the Cubby Chickpea, and the Bacon Truck. In addition to Aeronaut beers on draft, Bantam Cider will return June 14, too.

“We’ll be announcing a huge lineup of new and returning stars, plus additional dates and special projects yet to be unveiled,” Aeronaut teases on Facebook.

So break out your dog’s summer leash, stock up on SPF 30, and acquaint yourself with the 86 bus—see you in Allston this summer.
