Making that afternoon transition from caffeine to booze is about to get a little easier in the Back Bay: Jaho Coffee and Tea is opening its fifth café—and third wine bar—soon at 116 Huntington.

Across the street from the Prudential, in the same building as Lucca Back Bay and next door to the Marriott Copley Place, Jaho will bring a sit-down bar, lounge, and patio seating to the neighborhood, says founder Anil Mezini. Expect a range of Salem-roasted coffee and espresso drinks, sipping chocolates, teas, and smoothies.

Like the flagship locations in Salem and on the edge of Chinatown in downtown Boston, the latest Jaho also has a full bar stocked with canned beer, wines by the glass, and cocktails, like a Dirty Cider with bourbon; boozy bubble tea; a Vietnamese iced coffee martini; negronis; and more.

The food menu will range from pastries and bagels, to sandwiches, salads, and some vegan lunch options. It will also offer the Japanese-style soft serve that Jaho recently debuted at its other locations.

The Huntington Ave. café has about 75 seats inside, including bar stools at the coffee counter. A separate lounge area will be open to the public, and also be available to reserve for private parties, Mezini says. The newest Jaho will also have 24 seats outside.

The coffee company, which started in Salem more than a decade ago and has additional cafés in the South End and Tokyo, has been working on this location since last summer, Boston Restaurant Talk first reported. A few more licensing requirements are on the to-do list, but Mezini hopes to be open in Back Bay by late July.
