Students getting back into the swing of things at Northeastern University—and the professionals in the area who have to contend with the influx of Huskies around Huntington Ave.—have a new place to refuel this fall. Tatte Bakery & Café opens its ninth location on the NU campus this week.

The Best of Boston bakery debuts Wednesday, Aug. 29, at 369 Huntington Ave. Open to the public, it will bring with it Tatte’s full menu of buttery croissants, brioche roses, and other pastries; breakfast sandwiches, tartines, shakshuka, farro bowls, and more. The growing company just switched over to an all-day menu, meaning that early-morning cram sessions and evening study groups alike can be fueled by your choice of Israeli-style breakfast or lunch options. It will also serve brunch every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The 72-seat Northeastern location is only the latest for the Brookline-born Tatte, and it won’t be the last. A Seaport location is on track to open at the redeveloped Pier 4 on Wednesday, September 5; and Tatte #11 will land mid-November at 125 Summer St. near South Station, Or says.

She is also working on a state-of-the-art production kitchen and “a hub for all things Tatte,” with baking classes and tours offered at a to-be-disclosed location not too far from Kendall Square, she says. “We are looking into expanding in Boston in 2019 and 2020, as well as heading out of state next year,” Or adds.

Stay tuned for more on those plans. Tatte’s growth ramped up in 2016, after Or sold a slight-majority stake of her company to Panera Bread. Former Panera CEO Ron Shaich has since bought out his former employer’s stake, and continues to partner with Or in growing the brand, the Boston Globe has reported.

Beginning this Wednesday, the Huntington Ave. location will be open weekdays from 7 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sundays from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Tatte also has locations in Brookline, Cambridge, Beacon Hill, the Fenway, and more Boston neighborhoods.
