This Sunday, April 21, is Easter, and though it falls relatively late this year, you are not alone if you’re scrambling to make last-minute plans for your family—trust us. Luckily, plenty of great restaurants around the city are still accepting reservations for the springtime holiday, whether you’re looking for a brunch buffet, prix-fixe lunch, or casual, a la carte dinner. As of the time of publication, these 15 restaurants in Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville still have online reservations open for Easter Sunday. Enjoy the day with family and friends.
Atlantic Fish Co.
This popular Back Bay seafood spot is booked up in the morning, but reservations are still open from 1:45 p.m. onward, with specials like an Easter surf-and-turf of rosemary lamb and scallops served all day. Brunch is on until 3 p.m., then the dinner menu takes over.

Chef Michael Pagliarini’s Italian restaurant at the Charles Hotel is open special hours on Sunday afternoon, with a selection of house-made pastas and entrees, plus chocolates, sorbetto, cakes, and more dolci by talented pastry chef Renee Connolly. Open-air seating is an option here, even if the springtime weather is a little iffy—the outdoor patio is covered and heated.

Bistro du Midi
Late decision-makers have missed the chance to make a morning reservation overlooking the Public Garden, but this Park Plaza spot still has tables available online from 3:30-8 p.m. But breakfast lovers should not fret: Chef Robert Sisca has brunch specials going all day on his special, three-course menu. They include a duck confit “foieffle” (a Belgian waffle with rhubarb and foie gras butter); Scituate lobster Benedict with saffron hollandaise; and more, alongside savory options like a prime short rib burger; and lamb ravioli with chevre, cumin and huckleberry. The menu is $65 per person, and also includes dessert.

Boston Chops (South End)
This South End steakhouse is open for brunch, with a special, three-course menu for $49 per person. It begins with a basket of freshly baked pastries; assorted fruit, yogurt, and homemade granola; and gravy-soaked hash. Then guests have a choice among entrees such as a breakfast sausage omelet, or lobster Benedict; and two festive desserts.

Café du Pays
Chef Dan Amighi is preparing a French Canadian-inspired Easter supper, served from 2-8 p.m. Stay tuned for the farm-sourced menu details—it’ll be $65 per person for three courses—but know that the full bar menu of cocktails, wine, beer, and cider is available in the cozy Cambridge dining room.

Chef-owner William Koval’s Technology Square restaurant has been on weekend brunch-hiatus this year, but its celebrated bloody Mary bar (and more) returns on Easter and Mother’s Day. The buffet includes favorite dishes like the biscuit Benedict with Old Bay hollandaise, crispy ham, and asparagus; and French toast with strawberry rhubarb compote, plus build-your-own bloody Marys and mimosas. It’s $45 per person, $10 for kids under 12, and free for children 3 and younger.

Boston Urban Hospitality Group’s elegant Back Bay restaurant has special lunch and dinner hours on Easter Sunday—and tables are still available throughout the day. Fixed-price lunch and dinner menus feature seasonal dishes like house-made lamb sausage with spring pea agnolotti; ribeye au poivre with fiddleheads and Robuchon potatoes; and strawberries and cream cheesecake with speculoos crumble. Lunch is $79 per person, and dinner is $99.

Bring the family to this Jamaica Plain spot—and even the dog, if you want to opt for patio seats—to tuck into Carolina coastline-inspired brunch fare, like andouille and eggs, flapjacks with strawberry jam and whipped sorghum butter, and sweet potato soup. The Frogmore is open as usual for brunch and dinner on Easter Sunday.

The Mediterranean-inspired seafood menu at this off-the-beaten-path North End favorite is bolstered with Easter Sunday specials from chef Pino Maffeo, such as grilled lamb chops with broccoli rabe and beans; braised veal with mashed potatoes; and ricotta pie. Reservations are available all afternoon and evening.

Kirkland Tap & Trotter
It’s business as usual at James Beard Award-winning chef Tony Maws’s Somerville neighborhood spot. That means brunch is on from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with a la carte options like grilled pork belly and eggs; an everything bagel with smoked salmon; and house-made doughnuts; plus the Easter special, ham and eggs. The mid-day menu is standard, and dinner features the usual Fried Chicken Sunday special. If you’re working the Easter brunch shift? Head here beginning at 8 p.m. for Industry Night, with specialty cocktails from Copper and Kings American Brandy, and ham and homemade biscuits.

Lucy’s American Tavern
Another low-key option, this time in Adams Village, Dorchester. This large, friendly tavern is open as usual, with brunch on from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and supper ’til 11 p.m. It’s a huge menu, with everything from “funfetti” pancakes with cream cheese glaze; to steak and eggs; to burgers and more, and there are more than 50 draft lines flowing with craft beer, house wines, and even sangria. Reservations are available all day.

Oak + Rowan
Ceia and Brine owner Nancy Batista-Caswell’s Boston restaurant has reservations available during the day, with dishes like shrimp shakshuka; lamb sausage poutine; and banana pancakes with peanut butter dulce de leche and bacon from new executive chef Michael Destifano. Pastry chef Brian Mercury is loading up the roving pastry cart with Easter brunch creations with his award-winning flair—carrot cake cream puffs, black walnut sticky buns, rhubarb danish, Taza Chocolate tarts, and more.

If the weather is nice, opt for a patio table at James Beard Award-winning chef Jody Adams’s Mediterranean escape in the heart of the Back Bay. Porto has reservations open all afternoon and evening. In addition to the regular menu of meze, shellfish, handmade pastas like wild mushroom pappardelle, and entrees like citrus-marinated grilled chicken with ginger-glazed cipollini, executive sous chef Sebastian Vasquez and pastry chef Christina Asmutis have some additional Easter specials in the works.

Puritan & Company
This Inman Square restaurant has a legendary brunch, thanks to the likes of menu items like house-pastrami-smoked salmon; pan-roasted cod with lobster stew; and lemon and buttermilk chess pie with strawberries. Chef Will Gilson is creating $55, three-course menus for the holiday, with those dishes and more—and there is still some availability between 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Whaling in Oklahoma
For a nontraditional Easter Sunday, check out chef Tim Maslow’s izakaya-inspired restaurant, which is open for brunch and dinner as usual during the holiday. Brunch offers a Japanese set of miso soup, rice, pickles, and grilled fish; a shiitake rice bowl with an egg; and fried honey-milk toast with apple butter and sesame caramel. Dinner might mean menu must-haves like soy-basted grilled chicken, a pork katsu sando, or Japanese cheesecake. It all pairs well with creative cocktails and chill vibes.
