Premier Projects: Desiree Burns Interiors

Q: What were your inspirations for this project, and how did they align with the homeowner’s goals? A: This home is across the street from the beach, on the famous Indian Avenue in Middletown, RI. We took coastal inspiration with a contemporary approach. A family resides in the home, so we wanted to make sure it was not only beautiful but livable and functional for everyday living with children. Relaxed and refined was the overall project inspiration.

Q: Why do you love this project? A: I love the clean and refined aesthetic. The client wanted an overall neutral palette throughout, but really gave us creative freedom and enabled us to take risks, such as the bold blue sofa.
