There’s a good chance your Facebook feed surfaces gender reveal videos every now and then. Most of them follow a similar narrative structure—there are some excited family members at the beginning, they play a game or complete a task, and it ends in a revelation of blue or pink. It’s a common way for expectant parents to find out the sex of their babies, and now you can even plan a vacation around it.
The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort is offering a destination gender reveal package for families who’d prefer to enjoy an over-the-top celebration. For $50 per person—in addition to regular room rates—families can choose from one of three revelations. First, once a baby boy or girl is announced, the resort can light up blue or pink. Second, bath bombs can be thrown into the hotel’s pool, turning the water either blue or pink. Or parents can test their dart skills by aiming at balloons filled with colored paint.
In addition to the gender reveal itself, the package includes two hours of unlimited soft drinks, freshly brewed iced teas, and coffee, a lunch buffet, and one hour of gender-inspired snacks. (Think: blue terra chips for boys, beet chips for girls, plus blue or pink frozen yogurt, chocolate eggs, and deviled eggs.)
