The”Earth Weekend” Package
Where: Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center, One Seaport Lane, Boston
When: Available April 20 through 22
How much: Starting at $187 per night

Did you know that Boston’s Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center houses half a million bees on its fifth floor roof? The hotel is part of the Green Hotels Association and Boston Green Tourism for a reason, and this week’s travel deal is meant for those who are looking to take a special “staycation,” while being environmentally conscious. Use any excuse necessary—whether it’s the end of the work week, the start of spring, Earth Day—to escape into another home away from home.

Upon arrival, guests taking advantage of the “Earth Weekend” package are welcomed with cookies baked with honey from the bees that live on the fifth floor. They’re also given a packet of wildflower seeds, and are encouraged to plant them outside the hotel. There’s a special entertainment option for children during the weekend, called the Seaport Saves scavenger hunt, named after the hotel’s sustainability initiative.

Guests also have the option between a $12 flight of organic wine or $12 spirits from the in-house TAMO Bistro + Bar. One of the spirits, called “the Bees Knees,” is made of honey from the hotel and local Putnam rye. Lastly, if guests drive a hybrid or electric vehicle, parking is free. The Earth Weekend package is available as a special pricing option at checkout, and is only available for the weekend of April 20th.
