The Beantown to P-Town package
Where: Yotel, 65 Seaport Blvd, Boston
When: Available through September 30, 2018
How much: Starting at $299 per night
There’s nothing wrong with making the two-hour trek up the arm of the Cape to Provincetown, but what’s the sense in driving when you don’t have to? That’s the idea behind Yotel’s newest discount: the Beantown to P-Town package. The 2-in-1 trip combines the best of Provincetown with a taste of the Seaport for a salty, sunny getaway.
It works like this: Book a two-night stay at Yotel anytime before September 30, and receive a roundtrip ferry ticket to Provincetown. It’s a city staycation and a beachy day trip rolled into one.
If you’re not familiar, Yotel is a new airline-inspired hotel in the Seaport. Accommodations are referred to as “cabins” rather than rooms, and come equipped with two tech-integrated features: the adjustable smart bed and what’s called the “technowall.” The space-saving smart bed was custom-designed for Yotel cabins, and can shift upward and downward to convert into a sofa or a bed. The technowall features an embedded smart TV that can stream music from smartphones and other devices. It also has a color wheel tool for adjusting the cabin’s mood lighting—purple lights are the standard, and can be switched to different hues and brightness levels.
Meanwhile, in Provincetown, there are no technowalls to be had. Just sandy beaches, charming shops, and abundant art galleries. To get there, you’ll walk over to the ferry dock, which is a few minutes from Yotel’s front door, and then kick back for a 90-minute cruise into Cape Cod Bay. Upon your return, you can take advantage of the package’s $25 dining credit. It’s best used at Yotel’s Sky Lounge—a dreamy roof deck offering sweeping views of the skyline.
The fine print? You have to book your Yotel room at least 10 days in advance.
