Situated on Casco Bay’s largest—and perhaps most picturesque—island, the Chebeague (pronounced shuh-Beeg) Island Inn is a salty, beachy, classically Maine escape. That’s why it’s imperative you make a trip up there before summertime fades away.
Opened in 2010, the 21-room Greek Revival abode is perched atop a hill overlooking the water. It’s almost too pretty to leave, but the hotel’s bike and brew package will coax you off the property’s dreamy front porch. In addition to an overnight stay with breakfast, the package offers up the inn’s bicycles so you can explore the 200-acre island. Upon your return, the hotel provides local draft beers for you to sip on the deck or the lawn, along with an assortment of snacks.
