2017; 2018 & 2019 Wedding wire and The knot Wedding/couples choice award

What's your background; education and training?

My background is School of Fashion Design; Boston for bridal and formalwear design and construction; The American college; London Fashion design/Merchandising degree; and Brandeis for costume design and construction. I also owned a custom design Bridal studio in where I met with clients to design and construct their wedding dresses; mother of the brides; flower girls; prom; veils; and brides maid dresses. Along side the custom bridal shop I owned a shop in Rockport; MA with all my own custom casual attire and local designers accessories. I have worked for several bridal shops in Ma and CA doing their bridal fittings and alterations.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer/patient?

The typical process of we work with customers is finding out a little abut their plans for their wedding; including the date; type of wedding and venue; how many people and if they have any idea of what they might like for themselves including style and size. We then tell them a little about our shop; process and our dresses.

What advice would you give a customer looking to find a provider in your specialty?

The advice that I would give a customer looking for a provider in this industry would be its ok to go with someone your comfortable with and not what everyone else is doing. There are many details to planning a wedding and if you are comfortable with your vendor and feel the service is true to who you are than you will have a great experience and less stress.

What inspired your passion for your profession?

What inspired me for this profession was its just was the natural course for me when I was in school. I was attracted to it; I was talented in what I was doing and I loved both the design/construction aspect along with the business aspect of the industry.

What services are you most excited to offer?

The service that I am excited to offer most of all is the great experience we find our customers have here. It is a comfortable; unique no pressure atmosphere; everyone who works here gets involved in the excitement of seeing the girls try on the dresses. Also my ability to really help them with style and fit based on all my years of designing and sewing bridal and formalwear dresses.

What is the best reaction you've ever received from a client?

The best reaction we have received from our clients is where tears comes to their eyes and their guests when they find "the dress" I also love even when someone might not quite know yet what they want but still had the best first experience bridal shopping or their renewed faith in having a great experience here maybe after not having one somewhere else.

What makes your business stand apart?

I believe what makes our business stand apart is definitely the service; but also we have a very unique "warehouse Boutique" I call it. A big space but with a cozy charming atmosphere. We also draw dresses from so many sources between the New dresses we get that couldn't be returned or weren't worn to samples from Bridal and retail shops that want to sell last years samples or dresses they have excess of and our once worn dresses. So many styles and sizes that range form size 00 – 28.

What should customers know about your pricing?

What our customers should know about our pricing is that every garment that comes in is automatically marked down 40% from what the dress was originally right of the bat even if it is bran new a sample or once worn. Our prices for wedding gowns range from $400-$3;000 and our prom and mother of the bride; formal; military ball; Gala and quinceara dresses range from $90-$500. We also carry jewelry; veils; shoes; pocket books and shawls.

How many years have you been in business?

Consignment Bridal and Prom originated in 2015 but I have been in the business almost 30 years.

What do clients have to say about you?
