What's your background, education and training?

Originally a Midwest gal, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communications from The Ohio State University and gained experience as a Special Events Intern at a local chamber of commerce. After college, I worked as an Inside Sales Representative at a local event rental company helping clients design their perfect event. In 2011, I moved to Boston to obtain my MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship studies at Suffolk University in order to pursue my dream of opening my own event planning company. Prior to starting Urban Soirée Boston, I worked for two luxury wedding planners and executed hundreds of weddings in the Boston and Greater New England Area, and also worked as a Social Catering Sales Manager for the New England Aquarium and Hyatt Regency Boston. With over 9+ years experience within the Event Industry, I was proud to launch Urban Soirée Boston in 2017! I am also an active board member of ILEA Boston (International Live Events Association) for the past five years and currently serving as incoming President Elect for the chapter.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When on boarding a new client, we love to take what once felt like chaos and turn it into an organized process! We do this by outlining a clear planning process and introducing them to our online management system!

What inspired your passion for your profession?

My mother got re-married when I was a senior in High School and she hired a wedding planner to help with her 300 person grand celebration! I remember being obsessed with every last detail and I knew I wanted to be a wedding planner when I grew up.

What is the best reaction you’ve ever received from a client?

When the Mother of the Groom sent an email on the day of the wedding, prior to the wedding day starting, just to tell us how incredibly grateful they were for our seamless planning.

We take pride in offering a truly personalized planning experience that allows our couple's to enjoy every moment of their wedding weekend. Our average client’s overall budget typically ranges from $100,000 to $200,000 depending on the location, guest count and style of wedding.
