Real Wedding: Danielle Oster & David Sarfati

Danielle Oster and David Sarfati had only two requirements for their wedding venue: stunning ocean views and an address in Rhode Island, where they met in 2010. They found the perfect match at Rosecliff, a historical oceanfront mansion modeled on the Grand Trianon palace at Versailles. It would have been easy to lean into the glamour of the space, with its crystal chandeliers and Corinthian-style pilasters, but the couple tempered the opulence with a neutral color palette and freeform floral arrangements. What they didn’t dial back was the celebration. “I remember saying at 3 in the morning, when we were in bed eating leftover cake, [that] it was the best night of my life,” Danielle says.

FLOWERS
The in-season greenery and overflowing ranunculuses and peonies added a touch of whimsy to the space. “We really tried to keep it very natural and organic,” Danielle says.

DRESS
Danielle chose an off-the-shoulder Carolina Herrera gown with a subtle rose print. “All of Carolina Herrera’s dresses are stunning, but this one is a knockout,” she says. “I couldn’t have felt better in it.”

FLORAL ARCH
Though they’re both half Jewish, David and Danielle didn’t want to go the traditional chuppah route. When the couple later expressed uncertainty about opting for a simple birch arbor instead, Stoneblossom offered to create a circular floral arch just a couple of days before the wedding.

TABLESCAPES
The flower-and-candle-dotted tablescapes included small jars of Rhode Island honey, which the couple gifted to guests as wedding favors. “We wanted something that [they] would actually use,” Danielle says.

CAKE
The pair asked the caterer to sneak some extra cream cheese into the frosting for their red velvet cake.

DANCING
“It was all about our family and friends being there, and it was honestly so much fun,” Danielle says of dancing the hora. “After the ceremony, I was just letting loose.”

featured in films such as The Great Gatsby and 27 Dresses.
