Dr. Callahan has the highest credentials in oculofacial plastic surgery and is one of only ~500 board-certified specialists in the United States. She completed her Oculofacial Society subspecialty fellowship training in New York City, training under leaders in the fields of aesthetic oculofacial surgery.

Dr. Alison Callahan specializes in cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery related to the eyelids and surrounding facial structures. This includes cosmetic eyelid surgery, eyelid reconstruction after skin cancer removal and aesthetic consultation in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation with neuromodulators (Botox and Dysport), dermal filler treatments and laser resurfacing.

Dr. Callahan completed her Oculofacial Society subspecialty fellowship training in plastic surgery in Manhattan at Columbia, Cornell, New York University and Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital, training under leaders in the fields of aesthetic oculofacial surgery.

Prior to her plastic surgery fellowship in New York, she completed her ophthalmology residency in Boston at Harvard's Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Callahan received her medical degree from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons where she graduated at the top of her class (Alpha Omega Alpha). She completed her undergraduate degree at Princeton University where she also graduated at the top of her class (Phi Beta Kappa).

She is an active presenter who has published numerous research articles, chapters and abstracts in the field, and is a member of the Oculofacial Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

She has received numerous awards for both academic and clinical success, including being consistently voted as Best of Boston by her peers.
