Grayson P. Connors

Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery

About

Dr. Grayson Connors is an attending surgeon at Winchester Hospital where he specializes in total joint replacement and revision surgery. He completed the Otto E. AuFranc Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction Surgery at New England Baptist Hospital where he performed over 700 primary and revision surgeries. During his time there, he served as Chief Fellow. He is particularly focused on minimally invasive surgery where he specializes in outpatient total hip and total knee replacements. He performs both direct anterior and direct superior approaches to the hip with a CT-guided, preoperative planning and intraoperative navigation system called HipXpert where rapid recovery is the focus. HipXpert provides a personalized 3D surgical plan that specifies implant size and location based on each patient’s unique anatomy. During the surgery, the patient-specific alignment guide enables the efficient placement of the implants with a high degree of accuracy. This technique allows the patient to have no postoperative restrictions of the hip joint to allow a full return to activities.

In addition, he is the first in the region to offer robotic total knee replacements using the state of the art VELYS platform. This can allow more active patients to have a faster recovery and a more balanced knee throughout their entire range of motion.

Dr. Connors hails from Princeton, NJ and exceled as an All-American Lacrosse player at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. He is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs and exploring New England.

What do patients have to say about you?

Takes time with patients so you don't feel rushed. Goes over and reviews films so that the patient can understand exactly what the problem is and goes over what the plans are moving forward to resolve and/or improve the injury. A delight as a doctor! I would definitely be a recurring patient.

In the past few months, Dr. Connors replaced both my left and right knees, 6 weeks apart. He did a great job. With each surgery, he explained everything and I was able to reach him by phone when I had questions. The first surgery was performed at Winchester Hospital, everything went well, stayed overnight. Excel checked in on me both days and Dr. Grayson checked in on me and called my wife personally. The second surgery date was changed because of the increasing restrictions in MA due to COVID-19, and Dr. Grayson arranged the surgery in Nashua, NH to keep us on track. I was in and out the same day, he again kept in touch with me and my wife to make sure we were doing well. Excel arranged all necessary in home nursing and PT services so I could focus on healing. All outpatient professionals (RNs, PTs, etc.) have been impressed by the orders, treatments and healing and say the scars are minimal when compared to other patients. Highly recommend Dr. Connors and Excel!
