Dr. Caren Droesch practices medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology at DermWellesley, a premiere full-service dermatology practice conveniently located within The Wellesley Office Park at 20 William Street. Dr. Droesch treats the entire spectrum of skin disease in pediatric and adult patients. A board certified dermatologist, Dr. Droesch has expert training in all facets of medical dermatology with a special interest in psoriasis and skin cancer. She has published multiple articles on psoriasis and other topics in the dermatology literature and has spoken internationally at medical conferences. Dr. Droesch also has a special interest in cosmetic dermatology including fillers, neuromodulators (Botox and Dysport), and lasers. She was trained in New York City by some of the field’s top cosmetic dermatologists and has since paid that favor forward, giving talks on cosmetic dermatology and sharing her knowledge with others. Because of her keen aesthetic eye and attention to detail, she is regarded as a talented cosmetic dermatologist by her peers and patients alike.

Beyond this, Dr. Droesch is cognizant of patient wait times to see dermatologists and the frustration that causes. She is pleased to offer urgent access hours weekly for any skin issues requiring more expedited appointments. Dr. Droesch also performs outpatient skin surgery within our suite at DermWellesley to remove both malignant (skin cancer) and certain benign skin lesions. She always pays special attention to minimize scarring and optimize cosmetic outcome.

What's your background, education and training?

Dr. Droesch practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology and treats the full spectrum of skin disease in patients of all ages, including pediatrics. While she is expertly trained in all facets of medical dermatology, she has a special interest in psoriasis and has published multiple articles on psoriasis and medical therapy for psoriasis in the dermatology literature. Caren also performs skin surgery for both benign and cancerous skin lesions. She has extensive training in cosmetic procedures including fillers, neuromodulators (Botox and Dysport), and lasers. Dr. Droesch completed her Dermatology Residency at Weill Cornell/New York Presbyterian Dermatology Training Program in New York City. She received her M.D. with Research Honors from Tufts University School of Medicine where she was named a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Droesch graduated Summa Cum Laude with a dual degree in Spanish and Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University and is very proficient in Spanish. She has authored numerous publications in the dermatology and medical literature and has spoken about skin disease at conferences around the world.
