Maggie Currier, Spencer Lane, and Chris Young first met 12 years ago, but their individual journeys into the real estate business started well before then—all three of them grew up in real estate families. Currier is a second-generation real estate agent who grew up with both parents selling homes in Cambridge, where she was born and raised. Lane’s mother was also an agent in his hometown of Los Angeles, and after he graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 2004, he moved to Boston and got his license. Young found himself in Cambridge while attending MIT architecture school. But growing up in a family of contractors and real estate moguls led him to combine his talents of spatial awareness and juggling all the details of the real estate process to the industry. Whether it’s past clients asking them for their opinion on renovation ideas or an investor who is buying, building, and selling, their backgrounds cover every aspect of residential real estate.

It usually starts with a meeting or a conference call, we tailor or schedules and communications to be what is most useful and effective for the client... if they want to meet in person, we do that. If they want to text, we do that. From there we connect them with lenders, financial advisors, whatever they need. The house-hunt is more fluid, each of use has slightly different styles. If we are working with a seller we are a full service team. We will manage every aspect of the transaction from renovations, to staging, to handing over the keys to the new Buyers.
Interview a few agents, make sure you have found the right fit. The process should be fun and efficient. It's important to ask about how many transactions and dollar volume a team or individual does. This is a peak inside their experience level and how they will react when problems arise in the transaction.
They say, "do what you're good at and you'll never work a day in your life." There are a lot of personal sacrifices in this business; we've all been on the phone with clients on Christmas... there are no days off. We've all jumped out of bed at 4AM to take a note on something we need to take care of first thing. We love architecture, design, investment opportunities, and even just the dream of home ownership.
