1996 BEST Jewelry, Estate
Firestone and Parson
This old-fashioned jeweler carries both estate and new jewelry, along with a lovely selection of sterling and silver-plate items. You can gaze longingly at jumbo diamonds in the $100,000 range, or pick up a wine coaster for as little as $45. The store is still manned by Messrs. Firestone and Parson (direct descendants of the founders), who have a keen eye for quality and a professional no-nonsense demeanor. They also do appraisals and purchase certain high-end pieces for resale.
