MBTA Transit Police arrested a Dorchester man Friday morning, after he allegedly exposed himself and urinated in the sink inside the women’s restroom at Back Bay Station, claiming it for men.

Transit police said an officer was patrolling the Orange Line and commuter rail hub, when he was informed around 10:30 a.m. that a man had entered the women’s restroom. A woman later approached the officer, claiming the same man had pulled his pants down, exposed his genitals, and began urinating in the sink, declaring, “This is a man’s bathroom now!”

The officer brought the man, later identified as 28 year old Taha Hamid, to Transit Police headquarters, where he was arrested for open and gross lewdness. Hamid was scheduled to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
