Ditch the dog for some bacon fried rice or a Green Muenster Melt.

Fast casual favorites, Mei Mei and Roxy’s Grilled Cheese, made the surprise announcement this afternoon that they’re the first participants in Aramark’s new “Taste of Boston” stands on Yawkey Way, which will feature fare from 12 different area restaurants throughout the season. Red Sox president and CEO Larry Lucchino told Boston.com last week that the new concession stands are part of a larger effort to enhance the overall dining experience at Fenway.

Throughout April, baseball fans can head out to Yawkey for one of Roxy’s’ signature Green Muenster Melts or Mighty Rib sandwiches. Mei Mei’s curated menu includes bacon fried rice and “cheesy” nachos slathered in kung pao sauce. There’s no word yet on which new eateries will take over for the two at the month, so stay tuned for updates.
