Berklee College is bringing city folks more free music events to look forward to this season. The college is announcing the start of its ‘Summer in the City’ free concert series, including over 300 outdoor music performances throughout Boston and beyond.

‘Summer in the City’—not to be confused with Boston Harbor Hotel’s ‘Summer in the City’ entertainment series—will feature programs of pop, rock, jazz, world, electronic, and more presented solely by the students of Berklee. The concerts will take place at a wide variety of locations around the Boston area including the ICA, the Rose Kennedy Greenway, and the Lawn on D, and also neighborhood spots in Jamaica Plain, Roxbury, East Boston, and more.

The series will conclude on September 26 with an enormous (and free!) Beantown Jazz Festival, one of the city’s biggest summer blow outs. The 15th annual festival, spanning through six-block area on the Roxbury and South End border, will include three stages of live performances, activities, crafts, food, and more.
