One of the most iconic moments from the aftermath of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing will be recreated for Patriots Day.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Red Sox star David Ortiz will be making an appearance in the upcoming drama in order to re-enact the emotional moment when he told the crowd at Fenway Park, “This is our f–king city.” The expletive-filled speech came right after law enforcement captured one of the Marathon bombers.

Big Papi’s big scene will not be filmed at the actual ballpark and instead will be shot at a hangar located at the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station. Director Peter Berg has used the location for several sequences, including all of the bombing scenes.

Production for Patriots Day has taken film crews all across the state in recent months. Mark Wahlberg, who plays a composite character based on Boston police officers and is also a producer for the project, was spotted filming a scene at the finish line of this year’s Boston Marathon.

Wahlberg said at the Boston Police Foundation Gala in March that Berg and the entire production team are “committed” to making the sure the movie is put together the right way.

“He knows how important it is to get it right and we are committed to doing that,” Wahlberg said. “We won’t accept anything less.”

Patriots Day, which also stars John Goodman, Kevin Bacon, Michelle Monaghan, and J.K. Simmons, hits theaters in Boston on December 21.
