Light Touch: Steven Alan Opens His First Boston Store

The casual look in Boston has suddenly gotten a lot more glamorous. That’s because Steven Alan, purveyor of effortlessly chic threads for men and women since 1994, has opened his first local boutique. The bright, L-shaped space on Newbury Street is stocked with both established and emerging designers (Alasdair, Nili Lotan, Acne); pieces from the in-house line; and a smattering of local products (Lotuff Leather bags). On our wish list? Breezy, beachy separates accented with versatile accessories and retro Karen Walker sunglasses. If only summer were endless.
