Military Couples Get the Ultimate ‘Thank You’ from The Love Affair

This Portsmouth-based wedding planner and its vendors are giving one military couple their dream wedding.

Right on the heels of Boston’s July Fourth celebrations, thoughts of our country’s independence are front and center. Our country’s soldiers protect, serve, and sacrifice for that right—and in doing so, their personal lives often take a back seat.

For members of the armed forces, a dream wedding—complete with fancy gowns, tiered confections, decadent food, and a photographer documenting it all—might be on the wish list, but such grand plans often must be shelved when duty calls.

Now it’s time to make that dream a reality for one lucky military couple.

The Love Affair, based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and its talented vendors are donating a free wedding to a military couple currently stationed in the Seacoast area. They’ve just started searching for that special pair. Could it be you?

Aside from attire for bridesmaids and groomsmen (as well as the wedding party’s hair and makeup) and travel arrangements, The Love Affair will cover pretty much all wedding costs for the couple and up to 25 guests. That includes the groom’s tux and the bride’s gown with professional alterations, professional hair and makeup for bride, flowers, photography, cake, invitations, reception venue, a two-course meal and drinks, ceremony officiant, favors, calligraphy, DJ, and professional lighting.

The wedding will be held locally on November 5, 2015, but their panel of vendors will choose the couple on August 3. The deadline for your submission is July 26 and should be done via The Love Affair’s website. Just complete the simple application form, including a brief paragraph regarding why they should choose you, and a photo or video of you together as a couple.

You deserve the day of a lifetime for all the days you give to this country.
