Care for a meal to go with that cheese? Turn to fromager Louis Risoli and sommelier Erich Schliebe for three courses plus wine and a grand cheese spread that, this week, features artisan picks from Canada. Say “cheese!” Or rather, croon it, to the tune of an original, fromage-themed sing-along led by Risoli to culminate the fun. Wednesday 8/17: Pop Up dinner at Mike’s City Diner
Jay Haaj will host Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette as the trio of chefs plates a whopping nine courses following no particular theme other than good times. For dessert, imagine soft-serve horchata, shelled in chocolate and topped with a crunchy cinnamon crisp. ($60; 7 pm; Mike’s City Diner, 1714 Washington St., Boston.
