The Last Word

Your long day of corporate drudgery is over. Get out and enjoy the city! Here are a few ideas to get you started, lovingly picked by Boston Daily.

With last night’s Hot Stove, Cool Music and tonight’s Flutie Bowl, the past 48 hours have been filled with our favorite sports stars and local celebrities. Not that we’re complaining. The Old State House stands out among the skyscrapers that surround it now. Learn about Boston’s oldest public building on the cheap as the museum offers free admission to Massachusetts residents all month long.

We’re not sure how comfortable we are with a bunch of New Yorkers giving us discounted admission to our own museums, theaters, and spas. But since we love to live the good life, we’ll let it slide. Celebrate the New York Times’ Arts and Leisure Week at a number of Boston locations.

The one thing we can all agree is awesome? Mummies. Check out Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs at the Museum of Science.
