Randi Goldklank: Not Gone Yet

Airplanegate 2008 news continues to break. Ed Ansin, president of WHDH parent company Sunbeam Television, just released another statement on Channel 7 GM Randi Goldklank’s Sunday night tirade at Logan Airport.

We expected to hear she’d been fired. Instead, she’s getting medical treatment. OMG: She’s just like Britney!

The unfortunate events of last Sunday night were unanticipated and Ms. Goldklank is deeply regretful. She is currently undergoing medical treatment and is on administrative leave from the company. We wish her a speedy recovery, as do her many friends in Boston and throughout the broadcasting industry.

Former WHDH GM Mike Carson will take the helm while Goldklank is undergoing treatment for whatever issues led to her very public implosion. Let’s hope that by getting the help she needs she doesn’t go further down the Britney shame spiral and shave her head.
