For Transatlantic Rower, It's Go Time
In January, we wrote about Bryan Fuller, a veteran about to embark on something crazy: A world-record setting row across the Atlantic Ocean. On Sunday, after months of training and fundraising, Team Titan is set to launch from Gran Canaria. If all goes according to plan, they’ll set foot in the Caribbean 30 days later and enjoy a huge cask of Talisker, one of the team’s sponsors.
Fuller told us back in January that he was rowing to raise awareness for veterans’ issues, and Boston-based Community Rowing, Inc, which has a program geared toward getting veterans into crew boats and rowing together as a team.
Check Fuller’s Facebook page often for updates — he promised to send periodic missives from the sea through the crew’s sat phone. Here’s to hoping that Team Titan will have favorable winds and after 30 days, a new world record.
