How does 'Vice President Brown' sound?

Sketchy diet pill salesman and former Massachusetts senator Scott Brown will throw what’s left of his waning political weight behind Iowa caucus runner-up Donald Trump.

The moderate Republican and one-time Cheap Trick guitarist will announce his endorsement at a rally in New Hampshire Tuesday night, reports the Washington Post, exactly one week before the state’s primary. The scoop was later confirmed by the Globe‘s James Pindell.

Brown lost a Senate race there in 2014 amidst claims of carpetbagging, two years after Sen. Elizabeth Warren unseated him in Massachusetts.

Brown will be the first U.S. senator, current or former, to endorse Trump, who in December called for a “total and complete shutdown” of Muslims entering the country “until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.”

At an event hosted by Brown in Portsmouth last month, Trump joked what a good running mate the 1982 Cosmopolitan pinup would make. “You know what? He’s central casting,” Trump said. “Look at that guy! He’s central casting! A great guy and a beautiful wife and a great family. So important!”
