Boston College Police say they’re on the hunt for a peeping tom after reports of a man wandering the campus this weekend and looking into women’s dorm windows.

In a safety notice posted to the department’s Facebook page Tuesday night, the campus police said that on Sunday it “received a report of a suspicious male that had been observed ‘peering’ into ground level windows of Kostka Hall,” which is a residence hall that houses only freshman women students.

The suspect was described as a 25 to 35-year-old white man “with a red beard and goatee.” He was about five-feet-seven-inches tall and was wearing a white sweatshirt, red baseball cap, baggy black pants, and black sneakers, the police said.

The notice advises students to be on guard and to keep their doors and windows locked and shrouded with blinds, especially at night. Anyone with information has been asked to contact police at 617-662-4440.
