1202227855We here at Chowder view politics and food like our children—it’s hard to choose between the two. South End hotspot Beehive hosts its first annual Big Easy Party. The Nat Simpkins/Henri Smith Band plays tunes influenced by the sounds of its native New Orleans as diners enjoy chef Rebecca Newell’s Cajun-inspired a la carte menu, including favorites like Jambalaya, Oysters Rockefeller, and a King Cake that’s guaranteed to come with a baby.

75 Chestnut gets in on the fun with its own Mardi Gras celebration. Diners will be given beads and masks as they enjoy special drink creations and New Orleans favorites like Crawfish Etouffee.

Laissez les bons temps rouler!
