Tuesday 11/1: Apple Lovers’ Dinner at MET Back Bay

Yankee Magazine lifestyle editor Amy Traverso recently launched her new cookbook, “The Apple Lover’s Cookbook,” and joins MET Back Bay culinary director Todd Winer (and ReadBoston) to create a multi-course dinner with sweet and savory dishes. Start off the night with a cocktail reception and book signing, then head to the ballroom at 7:30 p.m., where the MET Club will serve up Berkshire pork belly and mini pork apple pies as an entrée as well as lemon-cornmeal biscuit with apple ginger snap ice-cream with cider rum caramel for dessert. Wednesday 11/2: South African Wine Dinner at Legal Sea Foods Prudential Center

If you’re craving some quality South African wine, head over to Legal Sea Foods at the Pru on Wednesday for a savory South African wine dinner. The event, hosted by De Morgenzon Estate owner Wendy Appelbaum, will feature delicacies including raw oysters and ceviche, fried mussels, pistachio and caper crusted salmon, coffee and vin cotto glazed short ribs, and a bananas foster bread pudding for dessert. And in celebration of more than 350 years of wine-making in the region, Legal Sea Foods will also provide an exclusive wine list until November 27, offering guests the opportunity to sample the unique flavors of South Africa. Wednesday 11/2: Tea Tasting at Finale Park Plaza

On Wednesday, Finale will team up with MEM Tea Imports for an evening filled with dessert and tea tasting. Executive pastry chef Nicole Coady will explain how Finale paired some of its sweets with flavor-enhancing teas from around the world, presented by Suanne Scalise, of MEM Tea Imports. The tea and dessert pairings will include lemon chamomile tea with crème brulee, Red Blush herbal tea with a butterscotch tart, mint tea with rich chocolate, and Thai tea with Finale’s signature Chocolate Symphony.
