Tasty Burger unveiled its first full-time food truck earlier this spring, and now David Dubois, CEO of the Franklin Restaurant Group, says the local chain is set to introduce its fifth brick and mortar restaurant later this week. Located inside Back Bay Station, the 3,100 square foot restaurant can be accessed either on Dartmouth Street or through the MBTA ticket office in the rear of the building. Dubois says the Franklin Restaurant Group began the process of expanding into the station over two years ago, something that hasn’t deterred the restaurateur from scouting at other T stations throughout the city, including Dudley Square.

In addition to its regular lunch and dinner menus, Tasty Burger Back Bay will soon be able to accommodate early morning commuters with coffee and breakfast items. The new menu, which Dubois expects to roll out in May or June, will include offerings like oatmeal, yogurt parfaits, biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles, breakfast burgers, and egg sandwiches topped with bacon, sausage, or seared tomato. Another new aspect to Tasty’s growing menu will be its all-day coffee service, with hot and cold options brewed from organic beans roasted by Speedwell Coffee in Plymouth.
