It sounds like award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence could be spending some more time in Boston this fall.

Currently in Boston for a starring role in a new David O. Russell movie set in the 1970’s, alongside Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper, Lawrence could continue work in the area reprising her role as heroine Katniss Everdeen in the action series the Hunger Games.

According to a Tweet from Production Weekly, which provides insider industry news about projects in the works and where they will begin filming, the first part of the third installment of the Hunger Games movies, Mockingjay: Part 1, is scheduled to begin production in both Atlanta and Boston on September 16.

As of yet, reports are preliminary, and there is no word on what type of set Boston could provide for the film, but with one movie already in the works, and Lawrence currently enjoying the city’s North End amenities with friends, it seems as though she won’t mind sticking around through the summer.

The Hunger Games movies, which are based on a three-part book series by Suzanne Collins, is being split into four parts for the theatres. The second film in the series, Catching Fire, is scheduled for release in 2013.
