Captain America Is Being Rather Sexist

Chris Evans issued a statement to EW:

“Yesterday we were asked about the rumors that Black Widow wanted to be in a relationship with both Hawkeye and Captain America…We answered in a very juvenile and offensive way that rightfully angered some fans. I regret it and sincerely apologize.”

Looks like the nationwide press tour for Avengers: Age of Ultron is shaping up nicely. First, Robert Downey Jr. walked out on an interview on Tuesday, and today comes new footage from Daily Spy of Jeremy Renner and man of our fair city Chris Evans—normally a rather likable guy—joking about Scarlett Johansson’s character Black Widow being a “slut” and a “whore.”

“She has a prosthetic leg anyway,” Renner said, to which Evans added, “[She’s] leading everybody on.”

Sigh. Why you gotta do that, Captain? Let’s wrap up this press tour, shall we?
