A 24-Hour Adventure Race Is Coming to Boston

Cotopaxi's Questival is like a scavenger hunt on steroids.

Over the course of 24 hours, you could hike a mountain, handstand in front of the Bunker Hill Monument, throw a ball near Fenway, eat a corndog, talk to strangers, impersonate a llama, and more.

Why? Questival, a 24-hour-long “adventure race” sponsored by outdoor gear company Cotopaxi, is coming to Boston on May 26—and all of the above are possible challenges.

Think of Questival like a scavenger hunt on steroids. Teams of two to six people get a list of roughly 300 challenges—which could be related to sports and fitness, food, sightseeing, the outdoors, or something totally random—and are tasked with completing as many as possible during the day-long race period. Teams track their progress in the Questival app, and the group that checks off the most challenges wins.

Each ticket costs $45 (there may be additional costs associated with some of the challenges), and everything kicks off at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 26. If you can’t make the Boston race, there are also tour stops in Portland, Burlington, and New York.

Register here—and start stockpiling sleep now.

$45 per person, 5/26-5/27. Kicks off at Christopher Columbus Park, 145 Commercial St., Boston, cotopaxi.com.
